Back to Sport offers a sessions hosted at Selby and Tadcaster Leisure Centres and are designed to help you get fit and have fun - whatever your age.

Back to Sport offers sessions at Selby and Tadcaster Leisure Centres which aim to help you get fit and have fun – whatever your age!. All you have to do is turn up and have fun! Our Back to Sport sessions are listed below:

  • Walking Football - Tadcaster: this session is offered as part of our Activity Referral Scheme and is inclusive to none-members (£3 pay and play). Sessions are every Friday at 1pm and includes social time after. Suitable for ages 50+.
  • Walking Football - Selby: this session is volunteer-led and takes place on Monday evenings 7-8pm on the all-weather pitch at Selby Leisure Centre, the cost is £3 per session, payable at reception. Suitable for ages 18+.

The way we facilitate our Back to Sport programmes is very much dependent on the commitment of our fantastic volunteers. If you would like to set up your own Back to Sport session with Inspiring healthy lifestyles, we are able to support you by providing training and staff who are dedicated to making your session safe, appropriate and beneficial to the community. Is equipment provided at sessions?

Equipment is provided at all sessions but you are welcome to bring your own.

I have never played these sports before.

All Back to Sport sessions are ideal for beginners through to intermediates. The emphasis is on having fun and raising your level of fitness. Everyone is welcome!

Are Back to Sport sessions available to non-members?

Yes, you do not need to be a leisure centre member to access our Back to Sport sessions. You will be asked to complete a simple registration form at your first session.

Do I need to book for sessions?

No need to book, just turn up and join in.

What should I wear for a Back to Sport session?

Sports clothing should be worn with training shoes. All jewellery will need to be removed prior to starting the session.
