Walking Cricket at Chase

All abilities welcome at new Walking Cricket sessions.

Walking Cricket is an adapter, slower version of the game, a great way to get active, get out and meet new people.

This year Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles in partnership with Staffordshire Cricket have added walking cricket to its Young at Heart Programme.

Walking Cricket is an adapted, version of the game, a great way to get active, get out and meet new people. The slower pace and indoor venue has meant more people are able to get back into the sport or even give it a go for the first time.

Participant Pete Price has been able to take up the sessions said: “It is great to play cricket again, especially at my own pace!”

Nick Pigott has found the social elements enjoyable and said: “I look forward to every Thursday, where I can meet new people, whilst having a bit of fun playing cricket!”

The Walking Cricket session has attracted former county players and those who solely played at school. All abilities are welcome at the session and no equipment is needed.

If you are stumped for something to do on Thursday afternoon between 1-3pm we would be bowled over to see you there and your first session free at Chase Leisure Centre, call on 01543 504065 for more information.
