Your day with us:

Mock air raid and blackout
Listen for the siren. What will you take to the shelter?

Can you answer the questions?
Can you work out what the artefacts are and who they might have belonged to?

Live Life on the ration (teacher led)
Explore the interactive rationing displays. Can you recognise all the food items? Would one egg a week be enough for you? How much would you be able to buy with your coupons?

Make your own gas mask
Remember to carry it with you everywhere.

At home in the 1940s
Step back in time and visit the 40s room. How does it compare to your home?

Your identity card
Fill in your identity card - don’t leave home without it!

Evacuee drama
Using narrative immersion we will explore the feelings and actions of parents and evacuees as they deal with separation and live different lives.
