Show your support at cricket final this Sunday

The hotly contested 20/20 cricket final is set to take place at Highfield Cricket Club this Sunday.
From 10.30am Spring View Vampires will take on Leigh Redbacks, then from 2pm Highfield Hawks will play against Wigan.
The winners will then go on to the grand final at 5.30pm.

Thirty-nine quick fire games have been held over 34 days, culminating in this Wigan Cricket Development Group Surridge 20/20 final.
Music and off field entertainment at the Billinge Road club house promise to make the final an exciting family day out.
Tim McKiernan, cricket coach for Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust’s Sports Development Unit, said: “Congratulations to those going through to the big day and commiserations to a number of teams who kept their hopes of progressing going right to the last.
“This years tournament has been a great success and has had many twists and turns. I hope all the clubs had a good time hosting and playing.
“It would now be a fitting end to the tournament if Sunday's big day could attract as many spectators as possible to enhance the occasion.
“Please come along during the day to give your support.”
The 20/20 competition has been supported by Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust, Wigan Cricket Development Group and Surridge Sports.
In the run up to the final, every one of the 13 teams hosted at least two games, guaranteeing action at every community club throughout the borough.
